Rhydymwyn FC can this evening announce the signing of forward Sam Haley for the club’s forthcoming 2020/21 season in the newly structured Tier 3.
A prolific goal scorer, Sam joins having played extensively for clubs in both North Wales and Cheshire, and will now help lead the line for Jordan Parry and Anthony Weaver’s side.
The 21 year-old has previously spent time at Connah’s Quay Nomads U19s, Chester FC, Tranmere Rovers, and FC Nomads in the then third tier Welsh National League.
Sam said: “I’m really happy to be joining Rhydymwyn and continuing my football career here with Weaver, Jord and all of the lads.
“I already have experience at a similar Tier 3 level, but recognise the challenge of going into a new, strong league with a lot of great sides in. I’m looking forward to being right there in the middle of it all with Rhydymwyn.
“From the conversations I had prior to joining the club, it’s clear to see that everyone is set on seeing Rhydymwyn continue to go in the right direction, and I can’t wait to get going now.”
Co-manager Anthony Weaver said: “There are few coaches in the area who don’t know of Sam’s qualities, so I’m thrilled to see him agree to sign for the club.
“He has all the skills a striker at this level needs, and I’m sure that he will only get better over the season as soon as we can get started on what will be a historic campaign under the new league structure.
Co-manager Jordan Parry added: “Sam’s signature is a real coup for Rhydymwyn and speaks volumes on how committed we are to growing as a club at this level.
“He adds to a fantastic squad we’ve retained from the 2019/20 season, which I believe contains all of the components to compete, and would like to wish Sam a warm welcome from all of us at the club.”
